What would you have done, having heard John's preaching in the wilderness? Would you have thought him a nutter ... or a prophet?

Would you have come to be baptized of him, confessing and repenting of your sins or would you have laughed off this seemingly insane man's warnings? It is interesting to note that while we can never know for sure what we would have done, John's preaching still today heralds a kingdom that has come! Jesus sits on His Father's right hand ruling as both Lord and Christ from heaven (Acts 2:34-36). Every one who hears John's words has a choice to make - will we take up our cross and follow this ONE whom John heralded or will we continue to ignore the gospel of the kingdom? John baptized unto repentance, but we today are baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of our sins. What choice will you make about the kingdom?
